The Move That Makes A DifferenceIn 1980, Metro Ministries established its headquarters in the Bushwick area of Brooklyn, NY and has been in that location for the last 25 years. With the growth of the ministry over the years and the desire for greater community outreach, Metro has purchased new facilities. Committed to remaining in the heart of the inner city, the new facility is only 3 blocks from its current location. It will provide the space needed for ministry offices, community programs, an international training program and staff housing.
Community OutreachMetro seeks to expand its outreach to the community. Once in the new facility, We plan to operate a Community Food Pantry which will be accessible to poor families in the community who need food assistance.
We also plan to start an after school program for inner city youth designed to help them not only stay in school, but to excel as well.
International Training CenterCurrently, people come from all over the world for training and equipping at Metro. The new facility will enable Metro to expand programs aimed at training others to impact their own cities or nations.
